The whisky is the first edition of the new Cheese Cellar Collection

With a new edition of the Timorous Beastie Blended Malt, the independent bottler starts a new series of limited whiskies. It is titled "Cheese Cellar Collection" and indicates with this name the point of view under which the bottlings are created: It is about a particularly suitable flavour combination with cheese. Those who are not too fond of food pairing can certainly enjoy the Timorous Beastie Port Edition without cheese.

Timorous Beastie represents the Highlands in the series of Regional Blended Malts from Douglas Laing. A finish in port casks gives this special edition sweet, fruity and spicy aromas. Douglas Laing recommends Stilton cheese as a particularly suitable partner for the Timorous Beastie with Port Finish.

Timorous Beastie Brand Manager Scott Morrison says of the new whisky: “The launch of the Cheese Cellar Collection has been long awaited here at Douglas Laing. It’s a series that encourages you to expect the unexpected, embodying everything our mighty Highland Malt stands for. Bringing big, bold, and exciting flavours in perfect contrast to the timid field mouse displayed on the bottle, this Timorous Beastie expression is one we are extremely excited for people to try. With luxurious packaging to match the phenomenal liquid, this is one dram and collection of which we are seriously proud!”

The whisky was bottled without chill filteration and in natural colour at 48% vol. It will be released to the international market limited to 4,200 bottles.
