St. Kilian launches limited Bud Spencer whisky edition
A single malt as a tribut to Bud Spencer's last TV series
The German whisky distillery St. Kilian in Rüdenau is extremely successful with their series of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill whiskies. When the German version of the pilot film of Bud Spencer's last TV- series "Ein Koch für alle Fälle" (I delitti del cuoco) premiered on 24 August 2023 at a film festival on the banks of the Elbe in Dresden, a special edition from St. Kilian also made its grand entrance: "Bud Spencer - Ein Koch für alle Fälle" is a highly limited German single malt whisky that was matured in Oloroso sherry casks.
In the TV series, Bud Spencer, as a former inspector and passionate cook, experiences numerous adventures, during which he also could use a sip of whisky from time to time, the current press release from St. Kilian explains. Being able to reach for a special Bud Spencer whisky would probably have pleased Bud Spencer alias Carlo Pedersoli, who died in 2016. His fans now have the opportunity to do so.
"Bud Spencer - Ein Koch für alle Fälle" is available from the Franconian distillery and its online shop in an edition of just 600 bottles. Like all Bud Spencer whiskies, it was bottled at natural colour without chill filtration.
