Glenwyvis Distillery started production

The new crowdfunding distillery celebrated Burns Day in its own way

100 percent renewable energy, strong regionality and a basis created by crowdfunding: the Glenwyvis Distillery follows an own individual concept. In November 2017, to be exact on November 30, St. Andrew’s Day, the distillery had officially been opened (we reported here about it and gave some background information about the distillery project). Start of production couldn’t follow as soon as it was planned and so Burns Day was chosen to start production: another Scottish holiday, the birthday of the famous Scottish national poet.

Those who are interested in more information about Glenwyvis and the crowdfunding project will soon be able to get them first hand from team members of the distillery as they will start visiting whisky shows. Michael Fraser, Marketing and Tourism Strategy Officer, told us he will be in Nuernberg at the fair “The Village”, accompanied by Glenwyvis’ sales manager. The aim is to win more supporter of the project. And perhaps they will already bring some new spirit along with them.
