Macaloney's Caledonian Peated Darach Braiche
The Macaloney's Caledonian distillery was brought to life by three Whisky-experienced Scots in Canada. Besides the founder and fermentation expert Dr. Graeme Macaloney, Ex-Diageo master distiller Mike Nicolson and the in 2017 deceased Whisky expert Dr. Jim Swan were part of the concept. The Single Malt made out of Canadian barley was distilled in Pot Stills and matured in oak casks on Vancouver Island and developed fruity spirits with hints of maritime notes. The smoky Peated Darach Braiche matured in Bourbon casks, which gave the Malt mild notes of vanilla and caramel.
