All tasting notes

Light and delicate style with complex nose of greens, fresh fruit centering around Cantaloupe melon, creamy cereal notes, heather and a hint of smoke. It is almost impossible to discern if the light smoke is a whiff of peat remaining, or, more likely, oak lactones from a possibly re-toasted barrel.
While the palate is also on the light and delicate side, it exhibits a nice oily sweetness up front, greatly textured by a grainy development laced with oak tannins. Even though bitterness is noticeably, it assists in nuancing the greener, aldehyde-driven aromas as well as nutty "rancio" qualities of this malt.
A remarkable "oddball" bottling and a veritable bargain upon release.
