St. Kilian 5 Years - 2017 Handfilled Pfälzer EIche/ex Moscatel
The limited single cask bottling convinces with intense, syrupy sweetness with aromas of dried fruits, raisins, oranges and ripe bananas. Even if St. Kilian does not usually experiment with post-maturation, a barrel made of "Pfälzer" oak had to be transferred to a Moscatel barrel after a good 2 years, as the whiskey in the first barrel would not have matured ideally.
