Nosing: The first nose is very fruity and some kind similar to Ballantine's 17yo but not so deep as his older brother. We have here the Ballantine's characteristical aroma which in young versions (like Finest or 12yo) can be (even very) harsch or dry and here is delightful. Maybe there is some oranges, maybe kind of apples, alcohol is good hidden. All of these are nice for nose. We are in Speyside at all!
Taste: The taste is similar as nose. Maybe a little more dry like a semi-dry wine but still nice. We still know that we drink something from the stables of Ballantine's but You feel that this is better than 12yo blend. Not so sweet at all as You may thinking after nosing.
Finish: Unexpectedly long and very warming. Maybe this can be a small problem of this whisky because after light nose and tongue we shall expecting calm finish and here we have long spicy's action. After all still satisfying.
Comment: Worth the price. If you like Speyside - buy it.
