Glenallachie 12 Years Spanish Virgin Oak
This Glenallachie finished for 18 months in hogsheads made out of Spanish oak, which was harvested in the cold and damp Cantabrian Mountains. One and a half year, the wood was air-dried and afterwards gave its aromatic and syrupy-sweet notes to the Glenallachie Malt. It belongs to the Virgin Oak series of Glenallachie, in which first filled casks are used. Under the leadership of Billy Walker, a veteran in the Scottish Malt Whisky industry, Glenallachie was revived.
