Glenallachie 12 Years French Virgin Oak
This Glenallachie finished in fresh French white oak casks from the Pyrenees for 18 months. For 15 months the fine-pored wood was air-dried and then gave its sweet-aromatic and fruity note as well as bitter tannins to the Glenallachie Malt. It is part of the Virgin Oak series of Glenallachie, in which the casks are from different types of oak without prior fills. Under the leadership of Billy Walker, the prior master distiller of famous distilleries, Glenallachie was revived.
