Glen Spey 12 Years - 2009 Côte Rôtie Cask Wood Finished
This Glen Spey is part of the Connoisseurs Choice Series of Gordon & MacPhail, which exists since the 1960s. Every Single Malt is created from a few casks or just a single one. This Single Malt first matured in refilled Bourbon casks and then finished in casks that contained Red Wine from the French wine-growing area of Côte Rôtie for another three years. Côte Rôtie translates to 'roasted or fried hillsides' since the vineyards are enjoying strong sun rays. Limited bottling.
