Elsburn 8 Years - 2013 Malaga Cask - Cask Strength
The Elsburn Malaga Cask from the Hammerschmiede distillery in Germany matured in Spanish Malaga Hogshead made from European oak. The special edition was bottled in cask strength. Malaga is a Liqueur Wine from the eponymous region and is made from half dry Moscatel and very sweet Pedro Ximenez grapes and is developed for decades in oak casks. With the maturation in those casks, the Single Malt has tones of Sherry and the typical aromas of fruits and dark chocolate.
