Caisteal Chamuis 12 Years
Caisteal Chamuis is a Blended Malt, which was named after the medieval ruins of Castle Camus on the island of Skye. The once strategic stronghold was helping the Macleod Clan to keep their hold on the region. The 12 year old Whisky is a combination of Single Malt from the island Islay, Orkney and Skye. The first 12 years it matured in American Hogsheads and was then double finished. The first finish was in 230 litres American casks, which stored Oloroso Sherry before for five years. The other part was finished in an especially made 500 litres Butts, which stored Spanish Oloroso Sherry before.
