Bruichladdich 16 Years Bourbon Cask
The new 16 year old bottling from Bruichladdich replaces the 15 year old version. The old ways of using the Jim Beam barrels over and over again was stopped and now the malt is maturing in White, Oak Casks from the Ozark Mountains that have been previously used at the Buffalo Trace distillery.
Nose: Very intense pineapple, paired with light fruits, malt and a bit of vanilla
Taste: Also fruity, sweet and a bit spicy. All is combined with wood aromas and malt.
Finish: Medium long with a warming finish.
