Black Bottle (Relaunch)
Black Bottle was created in the early 20th century by the Graham brothers and was filled in a deep black glass bottle, which was designed by a german glass manufacturer. With the First World War the blender were forced to sell the whisky in green bottles. Nearly 100 years later, Black Bottle is again marketed in its old style. The particular blend combines Islay Malts with Highland, Speyside and Lowland whiskys that have been blended with mild Grain Whiskys.

Tasting notes of N-et-Lexus:
All tasting notes
Fruity and fresh with oak. Spicy flavors with hints of peat smoke.
Taste:
Soft and smoky oak and honey.
Finish:
Gentle and pleasantly spicy. Hints of nutmeg, pepper and smoke.
Comment:
Comment: For the money, if you like smoke this is a good value. I agree with what horst_s says on this one. Not good enough that I would want to buy again. The smokier-peatier ones have to be really good before I'll drink them, ie Lagavulin because they are more apt to give me headaches.
Taste:
:peat:
Finish:
medium with grainy taste near the end
Comment:
There are better choices for peat and smoke. You can get Laphroaig 10 for a few bucks more in some places. This is somewhat similar to the Grouse Smokey Black.
